Certified Veterinary Technician

Hi, my name is Olivia, CVT, and I am a Certified Veterinary Technician at Sugar River Animal Hospital in Grantham, NH. I joined the team in September 2022, first as an assistant and then as a veterinary technician, bringing a lifelong love of animals and a passion for hands-on care. Born and raised in Lebanon, NH, I live just 15 minutes from the hospital and have deep roots in the local Upper Valley community.

Personal Hobbies and Interests

At home, I share my life with a lively crew of pets, including Bugsy, a Boston Terrier/Pug mix; six guinea pigs of various breeds; Gemma, a mini pony; and Oson, a Morgan/Arabian horse.

In my free time, I enjoy riding horses, reading, baking, and hiking.

Favorite Part of My Job

I find true fulfillment in the challenge of veterinary care—solving the puzzle of an animal’s illness or injury, seeing them improve, and building lasting bonds with both pets and their people.

Why I Chose This Profession

My journey into veterinary medicine began on the farm where I grew up, surrounded by dogs and horses. From an early age, I loved helping care for animals, whether tending to injuries or assisting veterinarians during visits.

Education

In 2025, I became a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) after successfully passing the VTNE. I earned my certification through the Wisconsin Veterinary Technician program, further advancing my skills and dedication to quality animal care.

Work History

Before joining the team at Sugar River Animal Hospital in Grantham, NH, I gained over two years of hands-on experience working at Kedron Valley Stables.
