Hi, my name is Kayla, and I am a Veterinary Assistant at Sugar River Animal Hospital. I joined the team to pursue my longtime dream of working with animals. Born in New York and raised in California, I have called NH home for the past ten years, and I enjoy the slower pace and strong sense of community found in the Grantham, NH area.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I love reading, writing, and playing video games. At home, I spend my time with Blue, my poodle mix, who has taught me firsthand how important patience and compassion are in animal care. I appreciate the kindness the team shows Blue—especially when she isn’t the easiest patient—which is one of the reasons I am proud to be part of Sugar River Animal Hospital.

I have always loved pets and knew I wanted to be part of a field where I could help keep them healthy and feeling their best.

Before entering veterinary medicine, I worked for a year as a farm hand, gaining hands-on experience caring for a variety of animals.
