Veterinary Assistant
Hi, my name is Cassandra, and I am a Veterinary Assistant at Sugar River Animal Hospital. I am passionate about providing high-quality care and helping my patients feel comfortable and confident in their treatment.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, camping, biking on my e-bike, and taking pictures of bugs and plants. At home I have three cats and seven chickens! My cats are an orange tabby named Peater, a grey tabby tortoiseshell named Freya, and a tuxedo named Mr. Miles Moustachio Murdermittens. My chickens include three buff Orpingtons — Sophie, Punkin, and Tilly — three blue-laced red Wyandottes — Eileen, Noodle, and Pearl — and one gold-laced black Wyandotte named Emmy.
Education
I attended Southern New Hampshire University from 2008 to 2011, earning a BA in Creative Writing and English with a minor in Arts and Humanities. I am currently enrolled at Great Bay Community College, where I am working toward an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology from 2025 to 2027.
Work History
From 2024 to 2026, I served as a foster and volunteer with Midcoast Humane, caring for kittens, mamas with their kittens, and adult cats.
